Question 4

My typical audience would be people who are referred to by society as 'scene kids' which are basically groups of young people who dress alternatively. For example, Goths, Emo's, Punks and Steam-punk. These are people who are known for listening to Rock/Metal music, in all cases this is not true but the majority do which is why it is stereo typically known by the public eye and most importantly the media. This is why my magazine used darker colours and has models dressed in a particular way. The age range i aimed for was 16-24 and the magazine does attract this audience, my intentions were to also add elements that may relate to an older age range. In some ways I believe I have achieved this though my magazine mostly relates to the originally stated age range.

Contents Page Model 1 Location and Pose

Here are the 3 best images from my photo-shoot for model 1 who will be placed on my contents page.

I asked my model to do a similar pose for each but at different angles so that when I have sorted the layout of the contents page I can find which image fits in best, giving space for text and also allowing me to play around with the layout more within the three columns.

These two images are using the same pose but with his head either facing camera or seeming as if he is playing the bass guitar. To stick with codes and conventions I think it would be best to use the one where he is facing the camera.

The image to the right is my favourite because it is a full body shot with the model facing camera on a side angle.

The background is not important because the image I choose will be cut-out using Photoshop and then taken over to InDesign where it would be placed upon the plain white background.

This is where most of my inspiration for the contents page will come from. I will use similar images, making them as cut-outs on the white background. I found this image on Google images when I was looking for inspiration for the contents page.

Contents Page Header

To do this I used the same process that I used on my Masthead but in this case changing the letter that I drew to create the word 'Contents.' And this was the result after editing and finalising.
